SANGHADANA UAE Chapter conducted Onam and Eid
Celibration at Royal Palace Hotel, Dubai on 16'th
October 2009. Clemis Social Foundation President H.G.
Kuriakose Mor Ivanious Metropolitan inaugurated the
event. VPS president George Varghese, VPS Coordinator
Dilip Cherian Puthuchira, Reji Thazhamon (Baby John
Foundation Director), Daies Idiculla (Hatune Foundation
Coordinator), Prof.G.T George, K.J Mathukutty,
K.V.Thomas, etc. felicitated .
ONAM is a celebration of happiness. This
festival has great significance in our rich heritage.
Traditionally celebrated as a harvest festival, it gives
us a message of equality and togetherness. People
celebrate the festival irrespective of cast creed or
religious barriers.
VPS Onam celebrations
start at 10.00am with ‘Athapookkalam’ competitions.
Followed by number of fun filled
competitions and various cultural performances. The
celebrations end with a delicious “ONASADYA”.

The Vadaserikara Pravasi
Sanghadana UAE Chapter (VPS) was formed in 2002. We
serves as a cultural organization delivering to the
social and cultural needs of the Non Residents Kerala
community living in UAE.
Being one of the pioneer Non Residents Kerala
organizations in UAE, the VPS plays a major role in
bringing together the Malayalee community in the regular
festivals like Onam, Eid, Vishu, Christmas, etc. Also
involved in various charity projects, job Assistance,
medical help, etc. It brings the community closer also
by organizing tours and arts & sports competitions.
VPS strives to harness the community with the rich
Indian cultural heritage and tradition.
